Sevco are holding out to get £3m for James Tavernier.

Brighton were linked with an interest in the defender on Wednesday morning with West Brom having a £1.8m bid rejected later in the day.

After paying a number of players to leave- including last summer’s defensive dream team of Bruno Alves and Fabio Cardoso- clubs know that the Ibrox club are desperate to raise cash.

The Daily Record reports:

West Brom moved for the English full-back but their offer fell well below Rangers’ £3million valuation.

Ipswich Town have been credited with interest in Josh Windass but are unlikely to go beyond £1m for the former Accrington Stanley starlet.

Mark Allen is in charge of transfer activity with the pressure on to raise cash and balance the books.

Yesterday Greg Shields was sent on loan to Shrewsbury Town but the midfield enforcer has been reassured that he has a future at Ibrox- after signing a four and a half year deal in January.

There has been no reported interest in fans favourite Andy Halliday.
