Dean Windass has been involved in a few twitter battles after his son Josh quit Sevco for a £1.8m move to Wigan Athletic.
The cash, even over three instalments, will contribute towards the pay-offs to Bruno Alves, Micky O’Halloran, Harry Forrester and Fabio Cardoso. Vitoria Setubal are still owed part of Cardoso’s transfer fee.
Apart from the sale of Windass, Sevco have failed to raise any money from transfer fees this summer with Steven Gerrard claiming that the 24-year-old manufactured his move after demanding to be played as a number nine.
Dad Dean isn’t the sharpest or most diplomatic when it comes to social media and quickly set the record straight.
If Steven wanted him to stay he would trust ????
