There wasn’t too much to smile about in last night’s 1-0 win over Rosenborg but one fan in the Lisbon Lions stand certainly lightened the gloom.
Midway through the second half a stray shot from a Rosenborg player sailed high over the bar into the stand- only to be nodded powerfully back to Craig Gordon by the fan in the stand.

A month ago that sort of reaction was better than Celtic were managing on the pitch as the hoops became a soft touch with opponents seemingly converting 50% of their chances.
Dedryck Boyata returned to the fold at home to Hamilton Accies, Celtic kept a clean sheet and defensively haven’t looked back since then.
Last night the powerful Belgian was joined in the centre of defence by Filip Benkovic giving Celtic fans a glimpse of what could be the best defensive partnership since Jason Denayer joined Virgil van Dijk in the 2014/15 season.
