It’s a long time since Charlie Nicholas was the darling of the Celtic support with the Sky Sports ‘expert’ taking a pounding yesterday on social media.
Whatever Celtic do Nicholas manages to find a negative with Tuesday’s column in the Express typical of his output.
Celtic fans are well aware of a couple of problems at the club but even the most negative can relax, enjoy and revel in handing out a defeat to the much hyped Gerrard Revolution- except Charlie.

Highlighting the disputes with Moussa Dembele and Dedryck Boyata was his theme in the Express, followed closely by a warning that the gap was narrowing and criticising the team for a lap of honour on Sunday.
Online Nicholas was hammered on every aspect with fans happy to recall his previous issues with the club that he had two spells with.
From his first stint at the club alongside Frank McGarvey Davie Provan, Tommy Burns, Paul McStay and Murdo MacLeod, Nicholas should celebrated and remembered fondly.
Instead he is a outsider, a figure of fun, wealthy no doubt but treated with contempt by supporters who once cheered and celebrated his every move.
