Even Pedro Caixinha wished Celtic well ahead of today’s derby clash.

The former Sevco boss is now working in Mexico after an epic eight month contribution to the banter years.

Caixinha never got to lead his side out at Celtic Park but will certainly be remembered for being in charge of the 5-1 hammering at Ibrox in April 2017.

That came just six days after a 2-0 Scottish Cup semi-final defeat at Hampden where he admitted that he changed his team and tactics in the lead up to kick off as he sensed the fear among his squad.

As well as three defeats to Celtic the Portuguese bull fighter also led Sevco in their first ever Europa League matches- losing 2-1 on aggregate to Progres Niederkorn of Luxembourg.

Caixinha did work at one stage for Celtic as a scout and clearly still has a strong affinity for the most recognisable shirt in world football.
