Anthony Stokes helped himself to FOUR goals as Tractor Sazi beat Esteghlal Khuzestan 6-0 in the Persian Gulf Pro League.
When the former Celtic striker moved to Iran in July most sceptics predicted that it would be a short term visit but despite manager John Toshack getting the sack Stokes seems to be settling into his new found home.
His goal haul against Esteghlal takes his total to seven from seven matches which is bound to impress Sven Goran Eriksson who has been linked with the manager’s job at Tractor.

Stokes left Celtic in 2016 with three SPL/SPFL winners medals in his pocket but has failed to settle elsewhere.
Tony Mowbray ‘mutually consented’ a four year deal at Blackburn Rovers before Neil Lennon offered him a third stint at Hibs.
Despite scoring regularly that deal came to a halt in January following an incident during the winter break in Portugal.
A brief stint in Greece with Apollon Smirnis didn’t bring much success before he rediscovered his goal touch in Iran via a couple of days training with St Mirren.
