Steve Clarke has stepped up his attack on the SFA by claiming that 60% of his side’s matches have been decided by referee decisions.

The Kilmarnock boss has a date booked with the SFA to explain his comments about Willie Collum following Gary Dicker’s red card against Hearts and the subsequent rejection of an appeal against the decision.

Following that decision Killie benefited from a mistake by Craig Thomson, who will referee Sunday’s match with Celtic, when Aberdeen’s Mikey Devlin was sent off five minutes into a game against Kilmarnock.

That decision, and the rejected appeal prompted Aberdeen to issue a statement questioning the disciplinary process as the SFA ties itself in knots.

Ahead of previewing the match with Celtic Clarke told BBC Scotland: “I spoke about two soft penalties. One was given to Hibs and one wasn’t given to us.

“That decided the game. We deserved to get something from that game but those two decisions cost us at least a point. That’s disappointing.

“I think one of the most disappointing things for me is of the five league games we’ve played, three of them have been decided by referees. That’s not correct.

“That’s 60 per cent. It’s too many. One in our favour and two against us, but that’s not correct.”

About the charge for his Collum comments the Kilmarnock boss added: “I spoke to them here in an open press conference.

“I’m not here on a crusade, I’m not trying to change. I think if everyone works together we’ve got the chance to change but I’m not sure we are all working together at the moment and that could be the problem.”
