Brendan Rodgers will wait four more SPFL matches before reaching for the panic button.
Yesterday the hoops boss watched his side lose their second domestic match of the season, after replacing Ronny Deila two years ago he had to wait 69 matches and 18 months to experience losing to a Scottish side.
Coupled with their Champions League exit to AEK Athens the only question is how much have Celtic deteriorated since a double decker bus took the double treble winners up along the Celtic Way?
Kieran Tierney is the only player close to top form- elsewhere in the team players are unrecognisable from the heroes that thrilled the supporters as they collected six domestic trophies on the bounce.
Only once this season have Celtic hit top form- when they beat Sevco 1-0 at the start of the month- with Rodgers desperate to see a return to that kind of form.
“We look at it after ten games,” he told the Daily Record. “We never get too carried away when winning and we won’t get carried away when we’re in the position we are. There’s no doubt we have to be better.
“It hasn’t been great but we have to accept that. We’re the only ones who can make it better and get more consistent results. It’s been very bitty but we have to go away and see where we can be better.”
Celtic’s next four SPFL matches are at home to Aberdeen, Hibs and Motherwell with an away trip to St Johnstone before the Hibs match.
