The SFA have given the green light for players across Scotland to kick out against opponents without punishment.

Four matches into the new SPFL season and four incidents have all gone in favour of the boot boys with word emerging today that Allan McGregor won’t face any punishment for kicking out at Kris Ajer during Sunday’s 1-0 defeat from Celtic.

While the SFA launch various initiatives to encourage skill and Fair Play the reality is much different with all four decisions easy for the cynics to predict

a) Alfredo Morelos is red carded for kicking out at Scott McKenna, Sevco appeal successfully and it is downgraded to yellow

b) Steven Naismith kicks out twice at grounded Jonny Hayes then leans over to yell at the Celtic winger. Referee John Beaton and his assistant fail to act while the Compliance Officer fails to act.

c) Allan McGregor dives on to of Motherwell’s Peter Hartley, leading with his knees, no action is taken by referee Craig Thomson or the Compliance Officet.

d) McGregor kicks out at grounded Ajer, Willie Collum and assistant Frank Connor miss the incident. In international week the SFA Compliance Officer chooses not to take any action against the Scotland keeper.

With all Scottish clubs taking a vow of silence on the issue it’s only a matter of time before a player is seriously injured, perhaps if it’s a Scotland internationalist some action may be taken, perhaps.
