Brendan Rodgers joined some Celtic greats for the after show party as the curtain came down on Celtic the Musical.

The Irishman took his place among the audience at the Pavilion Theatre to enjoy a musical tribute to the club that he followed as a kid in Ireland and which he now manages.

Thoughts of China seemed a million miles away as Rodgers joined Bertie Auld, Tom Boyd and Murdo MacLeod to sing The Celtic Song in the company of all of the club’s treble winners.

Auld was a key figure in Jock Stein’s 67 and 69 sides while Boyd shared captain’s duties with Paul Lambert when Martin O’Neill’s side triumphed in 2001.

MacLeod missed out on a treble triumph but played a significant role in most of the post-Lisbon highs including the 4-2 match, the 1985 Centenary Cup Final, Love Street 86 and was assistant to Wim Jansen stopping the ten in 1998.
