Anthony Stokes has blown the final whistle on his Instagram account.

The former Celtic striker was once a prolific user of twitter but has switched to Instagram in recent times and has decided to take a break from the social media network

Stokes is making a success of playing in Iran for Tractor Sazi where he recently scored four goals in one match.

The 30-year-old spent six eventful seasons with Celtic after becoming one of Neil Lennon’s first signings in 2010.

Alongside Gary Hooper he plundered the goals that won the 2011/12 title after recovering from 15 points adrift of Ally McCoist’s Rangers (IL).

Stokes was reunited with Lennon at Hibs at the start of last season but despite being the club’s top scorer he left by mutual consent in January after a disciplinary incident during the winter break in Portugal.
