Former Celt Deccy Gallagher seemed to enjoy Livingston’s 1-0 win over Sevco more than most.

The defender had an outstanding game as Gary Holt’s cheap-as-chips side put a severe dent in Steven Gerrard’s title charge.

At the final whistle at the Tony Macaroni Arena some Sevco players seemed more interested in confronting Gallagher than they had been during 90 minutes of listless action from the visitors.

A first half goal from Dolly Menga proved too much for Sevco despite starting the game with twin strikers Kyle Lafferty and Alfredo Morelos.

Gallagher had an outstanding game on the right of a back three having battled his way up through the ranks after being released by Celtic in 2010.

Spells at Stranraer and Clyde didn’t seem like the right start but in 2012 he joined Dundee where he made 60 league appearances before moving to Livingston in 2014.
