Declan Gallagher has turned to twitter to set the Daily Record straight.
Alongside quotes from James Tavernier the Glasgow based published revealed that the taunts of the Livingston players would inside Tav’s team-mates onto success.
Use of the word taunt struck a cord with Gallagher who left Celtic for Livi in 2010 via Stranraer, Clyde and Dundee.
1/2 Based on the report in the Daily Record I thought only right to issue my own response. At no point did myself of any other Livingston player seek to taunt Rangers players over the result. 2/2 light. However due to a few Rangers players refusing to shake hands at the final whistle with myself and team mates things did get heated. We are professional sportsmen who should act and respect our opposite numbers win, lose or draw.

Livingston outplayed Steven Gerrard’s expensively assembled team, dominating and dictating the tempo of the match with Dolly Menga ensuring that the points stayed at the Tony Macaroni Arena.
Despite losing two managers over the last six months and requiring to go through the play-off system to reach the Premiership Livingston are sitting in third place after seven matches with Sevco and Hibs both losing to Gary Holt’s side.
While Tavernier enjoys the trappings of his second improved contract of the year none of Gallagher’s team-mates enjoy a basic wage of over £1,000/week.
On Saturday Livingston face Motherwell at Fir Park knowing that a win would take them six points ahead of Sevco before they take on Hearts at Ibrox.
