Apparently Scotland have an international match against Israel on Thursday.

It is a qualifier for s tournament called the Nations League, if the SFA side finish above Israel and Albania they will qualify for a play-off for a play-off to the 2020 European Championships.

Any Scotland fan wanting to find out how the management team intend coping with the threat from Salzburg striker Munas Dabour will have to look far and wide for information.

Following the lead of BBC Scotland there was only one subject up for discussion yesterday at the Scotland camp and it’s the easiest target in the game- Celtic.

First up we have Alex ‘disguised remuneration’ McLeish issuing threats to Leigh Griffiths ably assisted by James McFadden.

Taking a different topic Peter Grant was grilled on how attractive managing Aston Villa would be for Brendan Rodgers- who has two and a half years left on his Celtic contract.

Picking a random player to start talking about Thursday’s match the SFA media department decided to put up John McGinn- I wonder what sort of questions the Aston Villa midfielder would have to deal with.

Today as Scotland step up their preparations the subject of Griffiths will certainly be brought up again.

Any Celtic player is likely to issue a plea for Rodgers not to leave while the English based players will be talking up the excitement and challenge of managing in The Championship- that is the league where Daryl Murphy and Teemu Pukki are scoring on a regular basis.
