Bobby Madden will be out the firing line this weekend, taking charge of the match between Falkirk and Dunfermline.

It’ll be the bungling officials’ first Championship fixture of the season- coming on the back of his display in the Celtic v Aberdeen match at the weekend.

Five minutes before half-time Madden failed to take any action against Scott McKenna for an incredible two footed lunge at Odsonne Edouard that brought the strikers’ contribution to the match to an end.

In midweek the East Kilbride based whistler came under criticism from Ayr boss Ian McCall for failing to award his side a clear cut penalty in their Betfred Cup defeat at Ibrox.

The Celtic v Aberdeen match was Madden’s fifth Premiership match of the season allowing him to pick up the top match fee to help with his problems with HMRC.

Kevin Clancy will referee the St Johnstone v Celtic match with John Beaton in charge of Hearts’ visit to Ibrox.
