Craig Moore has urged Daniel Arzani to take a leaf out of Tom Rogic’s book to make it at Celtic.

The former Rangers (IL) defender made the journey from Australia a generation ago and managed to break into Dick Advocaat’s side built on a mountain of debt that was never repaid.

Arzani is two months into a two year loan spell with Celtic but earlier this week a report from Australia suggested that he would return to Manchester City in December if he hasn’t played in the Celtic first team.

That prospect seems unlikely but as other players have discovered finding the perfect loan is far from easy.

Speaking to The World Game, who broke the return to City story, Moore said: “I had a lot of time to develop at Rangers and a lot of reserve matches before I even broke into the first team.

Then you look at Tommy Rogic and the same type of things were said early doors about him during his time at Celtic (how he should look elsewhere for senior football).

He’s done really well there and Celtic have a very good player on their hands.

I don’t see why, with hard work and a little bit of resilience, the same can’t happen for Daniel.

What he’s going through right now is something that he’s handling, and will have to handle throughout his career.

He’s going to have a lot of eyes on him if he goes on to do what we know he’s capable of.”

Rogic joined Celtic in January 2013 from Central Coast Mariners and found himself back in the A-League with Melbourne Vic a year later.

It took until the 2016/17 season for the midfielder to become a regular, earlier this year Rogic signed a new five year contract committing himself to Celtic.
