Scott Brown will miss tonight’s Europa League clash with RB Salzburg giving Kieran Tierney the captaincy.

The midfielder has been suffering from a hamstring strain meaning that Youssel Mulumba will come in for his European debut alongside Olivier Ntcham in the centre of the park.

Odsonne Edouard has recovered from the injury he suffered against Aberdeen and makes the starting XI playing just behind Leigh Griffiths.Celtic certainly have their work cut out tonight with Salzburg unbeaten at home in two years.

Included in that run is a winning start to the Austrian campaign stretching back over nine matches as well as their 3-2 win away to RB Leipzig in the opening match of Europa League Group B.

Celtic managed a very credible 2-2 draw away to Salzburg in 2014 which turned out to be the only match that the Austrians failed to win in the Europa League group with Celtic finishing up as distant runners up.

CELTIC: Gordon; Lustig, Hendry, Boyata, Tierney (c); Ntcham, Mulumba; Forrest, McGregor, Edouard; Griffiths

SUBS: Bain, Izaguirre, Simunovic, Sinclair, Gamboa, Morgan, Christie
