Leo Mazis scored his first ever Celtic goal today as the young hoops beat Ross County 2-0 in the Reserve Cup at Dingwall.

The 18-year-old replaced Ewan Henderson in the 64th minute and netted the only goal eight minutes later when he connected with a Kerr McInroy cross.

Mazis joined Celtic in February, getting the benefit of his first ever pre-season training this summer as he pushes his way into the Reserve squad.

Celtic lost their opening Reserve Cup match last week at home to Aberdeen but bounced back to win today at Dingwall.

Jack Aitchison started the match in attack after ending his loan spell at Dumbarton with Mark Hill, currently on loan at Forfar Athletic, restored to the Celtic midfield.

Mazis fellow substitute Grant Savoury put the match beyond the home side when he scrambled the ball into the net in the third minute of stoppage time.

CELTIC: Mullen; Bell, Duffy, Welsh, Church (Deas 80); Hill, McInroy; Caffrey (Savoury 80), Henderson (Mazis 64), Robertson; Aitchison

SUBS; Willison, Deas, Crossan, Savoury, Mazis, Diver, Kennedy.
