A Celtic reserve side beat St Mirren 3-0 at Lennoxtown today in a behind closed doors match.

Mark Hill, Ciaran Diver and Jack Aitchison were on target for Tommy McIntyre’s side which didn’t include any first team players.

Celtic only have four scheduled reserve matches before the end of November with today’s match providing the squad with an ideal work out.

Hill and Diver are out on loan at Forfar and Stranraer respectively while Aitchison cut short his loan to Dumbarton shortly before Stevie Aitken was sacked as manager.

Next Tuesday Celtic take on Partick Thistle in the Glasgow Cup at Lennoxtown with the tournament being played between the reserve sides of the city clubs rather than the u-17 sides.

Celtic’s next Reserve League match is at home (Cappielow) to Queen of the South on Monday October 29.

CELTIC: Willison; Bell, Welsh, Duffy, Church; Savoury, Hill, Kennedy (McInroy), Robertson; Aitchison, Crossan (Diver)
