Jack’s back

Jack Aitchison returns to the Celtic side for today’s Reserve Cup tie away to Ross County.

Last week the striker cut short his loan spell at Dumbarton after four matches with the League One side.

Yesterday that decision seemed to be vindicated when Stevie Aitken was sacked as Dumbarton manager.

Aitchison signed a new two year contract with Celtic in August before going out on loan with the deal with Dumbarton due to run until January.

The 18-year-old will now be playing for Tommy McIntyre’s side until January when another loan move will be considered.

Celtic lost their opening Reserve Cup tie 1-0 to Aberdeen last week with Falkirk the other team making up the group.

Mark Hill who is on loan at Forfar Athletic returns to the side for today’s match which kicks off at 2.30pm.

CELTIC: Mullen; Bell, Duffy, Welsh, Church; Hill, McInroy; Caffrey, Henderson, Robertson; Aitchison

SUBS; Willison, Deas, Crossan, Savoury, Mazis, Diver, Kennedy.
