has provided a £500 lifeline to a Glasgow Food Bank.

On Saturday a food collection before the Celtic v Hearts match brought in over £16,000 worth of food which was distributed to Food Banks across the city.

A number of cash donations were also made.

Despite the story weather on Saturday Celtic supporters made a special effort to ensure that they brought carrier bags of food to the collection points.

With years of experience the Green Brigade ensured that the food was quickly distributed with a number of Food Banks getting much needed top ups.

Tonight the Green Brigade will be back in more traditional action cheering on Brendan Rodgers’ side against RB Leipzig in the Europa League.

A win is essential if Celtic are to maintain realistic hopes of qualifying for the last 32 but the Germans will be backed by almost 3,000 fans keen to sample the atmosphere at one of the most famous stadiums in Europe.
