They suffered in Salzburg and got leathered in Leipzig but when it comes to Trondheim there is magic in the air for Celtic players and supporters.
Three times Brendan Rodgers has taken his side to the Norwegian city and on each occasion they’ve come up with the right result.

In August 2017 after a worrying goal-less draw in Glasgow a goal from James Forrest earned the hoops an aggregate win to take them into a Champions League play-off against Astana.
This summer following a 3-1 home win Rodgers’ side cruised through with a 0-0 draw away to Rosenborg, after the match a Rosenborg official remarked ‘See you next year’ to Brendan Rodgers.
Four months later the hoops were back in town with a first half header from Scott Sinclair easing Celtic three points ahead of RB Leipzig with a game to go.
A point at home to RB Salzburg or Leipzig failing to beat Rosenborg will ensure at least one post Christmas European trip for the Celtic support.
