He may be gone, for now, but Patrick Roberts will never be forgotten with the infamous Singing Celtic Scarf creating a song in honour of the Girona winger.

‘Paddy Come Back’ has it’s merits and is a bit easier on the ears than the recent attempt at a song for Ryan Christie.

Roberts spend two and a half seasons on loan at Celtic with his trickery on the wing instantly appreciated by the fans.

In May 2017 he turned down the opportunity to play for England in the u-20 World Cup Finals in order to play for Celtic in the Scottish Cup Final against Aberdeen. He hasn’t been recalled into any England squad.

Roberts’ second loan spell at Celtic failed to really kick on with two hamstring injuries taking a huge chunk out of his season.

During the summer he opted to go out on loan to Girona in La Liga and now appears to be getting increased game time with his new club sitting in seventh place alongside Real Madrtid with 20 points from 13 matches.
