Patrick Roberts has no intention if cutting short his season long loan with Girona.

Recent reports suggested that the winger was ready to quit the Spanish side in January after struggling to get game time.

Many Celtic fans read that as a signal that he wanted to spend a third spell with Celtic but that has been denied in an interview with a Spanish reporter.

He assured that the season will end at Girona and ignores the rumours that have arisen about a possible move in the winter market.

He talked about his adaptation to the team in his first interview with a Catalan medium.

Roberts first joined Celtic in January 2016 in an 18 month loan deal that included the changeover from Ronny Deila to Brendan Rodgers.

Rather than play for England in the u-20 World Cup Finals he opted to stay on at Celtic helping the hoops to win the 2017 Scottish Cup as part of the invincible season.

A further season long loan last term was severely disrupted by two hamstring injuries before he returned to Manchester City in the summer.

Roberts is under contract with Manchester City until June 2020 after signing a five year contract from Fulham.
