Brendan Rodgers has Celtic in top form as he chases his NINTH successive win at Hampden.

Aberdeen provide the opposition in the final of the Betfred Cup on Sunday as the hoops boss looks to claim his SEVENTH domestic title.

While the Aberdeen players have had a free week to build up for Sunday’s match Celtic faced a trip to Norway for their 13th European match of the season.

Rodgers kept his squad overnight in Norway to prepare for their Hampden showdown with the hoops boss confident that they head to Hampden in perfect shape.

This was a great, great performance and it takes us lovely into the weekend,” he told the Daily Record.

We love playing at Hampden, the pitch suits us. It’s a big pitch and we couldn’t be going into the game in a better way.

Going into a League Cup Final, I would say this is the best level of performance, probably because we have been together longer and won trophies.

We will prepare for a tough game, of course, but our aim is to win.”

In their only previous meeting this season Celtic beat Aberdeen 1-0 with the match-winner against Rosenborg, Scott Sinclair, scoring the only goal of the game.
