Celtic fans reacted with joy after the club from Ibrox passed up the chance to go to the top of the SPFL table.
A 4-0 win or better would have knocked Celtic off their perch at the top of the table but a 1-1 draw means that Brendan Rodgers’ side are two points clear at the top with a game in hand.
Former Celt Kenny Miller opened the scoring in the eighth minute but Andy Halliday equalised with a free kick in the 21st minute.
They have taken the foot off the gas since they won the league……

Some people are so ungrateful. Steven Gerrard won the league last week and now people are calling for him to be sacked. What a sin!

Three away wins in a row now in the Premiership for Rangers and that was a big one at Tynecastle. Tremendous finish from Morelos – although it’s a lucky break given he was offside at the free kick. Top in December for the first time in seven years, momentum keeps building.

Exactly a week ago Celtic fans were getting taunted after Gerrard’s side went to the top of the table after winning 2-1 at Hearts but since then it has all gone downhill for the Liverpool legend.
Despite having a one man advantage for most of the match Gerrard watched his side lose 1-0 in midweek to Aberdeen as Kilmarnock leapfrogged them into top spot.
Yesterday Celtic demolished Killie 5-1 to take over at the top with their city rivals unable to respond.
While Brendan Rodgers’ side are starting to hit form it looks like things are falling apart for his former skipper who is starting to discover the real pressures of management.
On Thursday Celtic need a point at home to RB Salzburg to progress to the last 32 of the Europa League, anything less than a win away to Rapid Vienna will bring a halt to European football at Ibrox.
