Celtic’s team bus was given a memorable welcome on Thursday night.

Two hours before kick off Brendan Rodgers’ squad were given the full ultras welcome as they arrived at the top of the Celtic Way.

Arranged by the Green Brigade there was plenty of noise, colour and pyro around as the players disembarked for action.

Seven months earlier the same players were arriving back at their workplace with three trophies to be greeted by over 20,000 fans celebrating the double treble.

There wasn’t quite the same level of celebrations on Thursday night but reaching the last 32 of the Europa League is another impressive notch on the CV of Brendan Rodgers.

Europa League Group B consisted of the champions of Austria, Norway and Scotland as well as one of the leading lights in the Bundesliga.

Nine points in that sort of company is an impressive campaign with the hoops finding out on Monday who they’ll be facing in the last 32 which will be played in February.
