Griffiths has had plenty of issues of how own to deal with but has regularly reached out to help deserving causes through social media.
On the eve of Celtic’s Europa League tie with RB Salzburg Brendan Rodgers announced that the striker was taking time off from football to deal with personal issues. Griffiths hasn’t returned to Celtic’s training complex at Lennoxtown since with no date set for when he will be back in action.
Since his donation the fund has soared through the £1,000 mark with Celtic fans donating to support the family of the 24-year-old whose death remains unexplained.
