Tom Rogic has the bookies running for cover from the Dubai training camp with the Australian national team!

The midfielder is priced at between 7/1 and 9/1 to open the scoring in Saturday’s Glasgow derby despite being 5,000 miles away from the action.

Rogic has become something of a specialist in the fixture, netting in each of last season’s visits to Ibrox as Celtic sorted out the hopes of the tribute act but will play no part in Saturday’s clash.

Celtic had hoped to have the midfielder available for Saturday’s match but Australian international boss Graham Arnold has insisted that all of his players are available for Sunday’s kick about with Oman. Australia’s first group match in the Asian Cup is against Jordan with Arnold wanting to start the tournament with his first choice XI.

Rogic returned from injury for Saturday’s 3-0 win over Dundee and played the full 90 minutes in yesterday’s 4-3 win at Aberdeen. Of the eight players shortest priced to open the scoring in Saturday’s match only Alfredo Morelos is from the home side.

Morelos is generally priced at 6/1 with Odsonne Edouard favourite to open the scoring at 4/1. Next up for the home side is penalty specialist James Tavernier at 15/1.
