Darrell Currie got caught up in the excitement of the SPFL title race claiming that St Johnstone were leading against the champions today!
The BT Sport anchor man normally does a sterling job setting up the questions for Chris Sutton to fire his sound-bite bullets.

At half time today St Johnstone were leading the tribute act 1-0 with little suggestion that Steven Gerrard’s side would find a way back into the match. Ally McCoist was clearly concerned about the performance of his old company but after the break a double from Alfredo Morelos eased the pressure on Steven Gerrard.
Those points lifted the Ibrox club above Aberdeen into second place but hardly suggested that a title challenge was about to be launched. BT Sport are back in action on Wednesday when they follow the real champions to Pittodrie in a repeat of the Betfred Cup Final.
Celtic have won both of the previous matches this season between the clubs with Brendan Rodgers looking for a third successive win to go into Saturday’s match at Ibrox as league leaders.
