Andreas Hinkel dropped in on Celtic’s training session at Lennoxtown today.
Brendan Rodgers has an almost open door policy for other coaches to take a look at how he prepares his side with Birmingham boss Garry Monk a guest earlier this year before Celtic faced Zenit St Petersburg.

Hinkel had a brief stint as caretaker manager of VFB Stuttgart earlier this season but has resumed his role in charge of their u-23 side.
After playing against Celtic in the 2003 UEFA Cup he joined the hoops in January 2008 from Seville, picking up an SPL winners medal when Gordon Strachan’s side won the title in dramatic circumstances.
A cruciate ligament injury in the summer of 2010 ended his Celtic career, after returning to Germany he failed to get back to full fitness and moved into coaching.
Tomorrow night he’ll be able to enjoy the unique setting of a full-house inside Celtic Park for a European tie as the hoops look for the point required to book a place in the last 32 of the Europa League.
