One Celtic fan has gone the extra mile to try and release Tom Rogic for Saturday’s Glasgow derby at Ibrox.

Following Celtic’s 3-0 win over Dundee Brendan Rodgers was forced to admit that there was nothing more that he could do to retain his derby day specialist.

Despite throwing the welcome mat out to Graham Arnold earlier this season the Socceroos boss has responded by demanding that Rogic is available for the warm up match against Oman on December 30.

While his team-mates go into battle at Ibrox Rogic will be preparing for the match with Oman before three very straightforward matches against Jordan, Palestine and Syria. The meaningful matches in the Asian Cup start on January 20/21 when the last 16 in the 24 team tournament play in knock out games.

Should Australia reach the final Rogic will miss five domestic games following the winter break. With the hoops heading to Dubai during the winter break Brendan Rodgers might be able to catch up with his goal-scoring midfielder.
