Kieran Tierney doesn’t look like someone who’ll be forced to watch tomorrow’s Glasgow derby sitting with his mates.

The defender has missed Celtic’s last four matches due to a hip injury with Brendan Rodgers admitting this morning that he is a doubt for the Ibrox clash.

Emilio Izaguirre and Jonny Hayes stood in for Tierney on Wednesday against Aberdeen but if the 21-year-old is close to full fitness he is likely to start at Ibrox.

Tierney has been a key member of the Celtic defence that has won each of their last four matches at Ibrox with a continuation of that form good enough to lift Celtic six points ahead of Steven Gerrard’s side.

There are no other major injury doubts for Rodgers to deal with tomorrow with Lustig, Ryan Christie and Dedryck Boyata returning from injury to play in the 4-3 win over Aberdeen on Wednesday.

Odsonne Edouard is expected to replace Tom Rogic with the only other decision to be made over whether Tierney starts on the park or in among the 750 Celtic supporters in a corner of Ibrox.
