Some Celtic fans fell for a fake news announcement over Ibrox tickets.

A well worded statement looked like the real deal but came from a supporter on the wind up.

With less than three weeks to go before the match there has been no announcement over whether Celtic will accept 800 tickets for the game.

Up until last season Celtic were given 7,000 tickets for the Broomloan Road Stand which provided well known segregation arrangements.

In a ploy to appease Ibrox fans Dave King announced in June that he was giving Celtic the same allocation of tickets as other SPFL clubs.

The South African based businessman claimed that the decision was made to sell 7,000 more season tickets but the company accounts revealed only a minimal rise in season ticket numbers.

Celtic’s run of four successive wins at Ibrox has become too much for many home fans to bear against a backdrop of partying away fans celebrating in what has become known as the Free Broomloan.
