Brendan Rodgers will assess Kieran Tierney’s fitness in training today before deciding on his team for tomorrow’s Glasgow derby.

The defender has missed Celtic’s last four matches through a hip injury and had been expected to feature in Wednesday’s match at Aberdeen.

Emilio Izaguirre and Jonny Hayes filled in at left-back during the win at Pittodrie but a fully fit Tierney will walk straight into Rodgers’ first XI.

Celtic go to Ibrox without Tom Rogic who has been called into Australia’s squad for the Asian Cup.

With the exception of Leigh Griffiths and Rogic, Rodgers will go to Ibrox with almost a full strength squad to pick from.

Despite dropping 15 points on the road already this season the hoops showed at Aberdeen that they are still capable of turning it on for the big occasion.

Like Pittodrie Rodgers has a 100% record at Ibrox, maintaining that tomorrow will put Celtic six points clear of Steven Gerrard’s side despite having played one match less.
