Alfredo Morelos has published a gloating picture of Anthony Ralston lying injured that is certain to interest the SFA Compliance Officer.
The Ibrox striker managed to commit four red card offences during yesterday’s Glasgow derby and avoided even a word of warning from referee John Beaton.
Within five minutes of the match starting Morelos kicked out at Scott Brown, Beaton took no action setting the tone for the remainder of the match.
In the closing ten minutes Morelos barged Ralston over then ensured that he raked his studs over the defender’s back as he ‘stepped over’. Just like Steven Naismith’s attack on the grounded Jonny Hayes at Tynecastle in August Beaton took no action.
Soon afterwards the Ibrox striker punched the groin of Ryan Christie. Assistant referee David Roome, groomed by Bobby Madden, who flagged for offside when Callum McGregor found the net, missed that attack on Christie.
Now that he is gloating about his attack on Ralston Morelos could find himself in line for more than one retrospective ban from the SFA, once the Compliance Officer returns from her festive holiday.
Following the winter break Steven Gerrard’s side face away matches at Kilmarnock and Livingston.
