Griffiths vows to be back ‘doing what he does best’

Leigh Griffiths has promised the Celtic support that he will be back ‘doing what he does best’ in 2019.

The year just ending added three medals to the strikers collection but ended with him on the sidelines taking a break from football.

Griffiths made his last appearance in the 5-1 win over Kilmarnock on December 8, on the eve of Celtic’s Europa League tie with RB Salzburg Brendan Rodgers announced that he’d be taking an indefinite break from the game.

After that announcement there was a frenzy of speculation about Griffiths with people across the game sending him their support.

The loss of the striker has had a big impact on Celtic with the hoops going down to defeats at Easter Road and Ibrox with only Odsonne Edouard currently available.

Rodgers has gone on record to state that he wants to bring in two strikers during the January transfer window with the possible return of Griffiths a bonus rather than an expectation.
