Kieran Tierney is a major doubt for Saturday’s Glasgow derby.
The defender has missed Celtic’s last four matches with his last appearance coming in the 2-1 Europa League defeat from RB Leipzig.
Emilio Izaguirre has deputised for Tierney but was replaced at the interval by Jonny Hayes after conceding a penalty to Niall McGinn.
Celtic had Mikael Lustig and Dedryck Boyata back in defence for the 4-3 win over Aberdeen but Tierney had also been expected to be back in favour.
Updating the injury situation after the match Brendan Rodgers said: “He’s obviously clearly a question mark, the next 48 hours we’ll see. If not it’s unfortunate but we’ve seen with the young guys that there are other players to come into the squad.”
Today’s win ensures that Celtic go to Ibrox on Saturday in top place but the loss of Tierney would be a blow.
Neither Izaguirre or Hayes have had much game time this season with each of them getting 45 minutes in the win at Pittodrie.
