Gordon Sawyers won’t be feeling quite so smug this morning.

The man known bizarrely as ‘Killie super fan’ was reveling in his side’ lofty status after ensured that dropped points at Motherwell.

Wednesday’ results put Killie into top spot, a point ahead of but wisely manager Stevie Clarke wasn’t arranging laps of honour or DVD releases.

It didn’t take long for Sawyers to realise that he was watching the seven times champions at their best with James opening the scoring with a brilliant volley.

Before half time the were 4-0 in front with all of the goals coming at the end where the Killie were housed.

There was a goal for each side in the second half with Nick Walsh gifting the visitors a penalty which ultimately counted for little.

As big Gordy settles down to his Corn Flakes this morning the Premiership table looks less appealing although it does have a more familiar look to it.
