Kieran Tierney has given Celtic a big boost by returning to training for tomorrow’s Europa League tie against RB Salzburg.

The defender missed Saturday’s 5-1 win over Kilmarnock through injury but appears to be fit again as Celtic look to qualify for the last 32 of the Europa League.

Tierney has played in 33 matches since Celtic’s season started in early July playing a key role in the Europa League campaign with the opening goal against RB Leipzig.

Emilio Izaguirre proved to be a more than adequate deputy for Tierney but the Scotland defender is the undisputed first choice left-back at Celtic.

Brendan Rodgers’ biggest decisions will come in the middle of the park but it seems that he is likely to start with the same players that demolished Kilmarnock.

Scott Brown and Olivier Ntcham are likely to have to settle for a place on the bench although both of them are likely to be involved at some stage.

A single point will be enough to take Celtic through to the last 32 of the Europa League for the second year running with Rodgers looking to build on the momentum of beating RB Leipzig and Rosenborg in their last two outings.
