Celtic will have FOUR key players back for Wednesday’s match against Aberdeen at Pittodrie.
Ryan Christie and Tom Rogic returned from injury in the 3-0 win over Dundee as the lengthy injury list started to clear.
Odsonne Edouard, Kieran Tierney, Mikael Lustig and Dedryck Boyata watched from the stand as the hoops maintained top spot going into Christmas and two vital away days.
Asked after the game if Tierney and Edouard would be available to face Aberdeen Rodgers told Radio Scotland: “Yeah, yeah, and Boyata and Lustig and these guys will be back for that.”
Two minutes before half-time Mikey Johnston broke the deadlock when he sold a defender a dummy, turned and drilled a low shot into the net from Callum McGregor’s pass.
Five minutes into the second half the teenager headed Celtic further in front with Filip Benkovic completing the scoring in the 69th minute.
The win keeps Celtic three points ahead of Aberdeen with a game in hand ahead of Wednesday’s trip to Pittodrie.
