Brendan Rodgers could have his A-team available for next week’s double header at Pittodrie and Ibrox.
After losing to Hibs on Sunday the Celtic boss admitted that he now knows his first choice team.
Celtic started December by winning the Betfred Cup but since that day at Hampden injuries have started to bite.
Dedryck Boyata suffered a hamstring strain in the 1-0 win over Aberdeen while Mikael Lustig and Ryan Christie were injured in the Europa League defeat from RB Leipzig.
With Tom Rogic (knee) and Kieran Tierney (hip) having to manage injuries it won’t be until next week that Rodgers is able to pick something close to his top team.
“Dedryck has been out on the pitch so we will see where he is at towards the weekend,” the Celtic boss told The Evening Times.
“Ryan has been out jogging so we will see where he is at for the weekend. He came off on a stretcher, but that was more about the medical team protecting his ankle because he couldn’t put any weight on it. He has recovered well and he is very determined to try to get back out there, which is great.
“Mikael? We will wait and see. Again, it could be the weekend. Tom may be the weekend.”
Before next week’s matches Celtic have home games against Motherwell and Dundee that they require to maintain their 100% home record in.
Hearts and Kilmarnock have been on the receiving end of five goal beatings in recent weeks with Rodgers looking to halt a run of back-to-back defeats when Stephen Robinson brings his side to Glasgow tomorrow night.
