Graham Arnold has claimed that Tom Rogic is happy to miss tomorrow’s Glasgow derby in order to watch Australia’s reserve side play a friendly with Oman!
The Celtic midfielder made it very clear on Instagram that he could have played at Ibrox but Socceroos boss Arnold has a different take on events.
“That’s all over now, Tommy’s here and he’s happy,” he told The Guardian.
“Of course he wanted to play in the derby and that’s completely understandable but you can’t please everyone.”
It seems that Arnold has pleased no-one with his decision with Hibs without three players for their derby clash with Hearts.
According to the report in The Guardian Sunday’s friendly with Oman will be used to give players lacking game time a run out. Australia’s first group match is against Jordan on January 6 followed by matches against Palestine and Syria.
South Korea have allowed striker Son to stay with Spurs until January 14- the day after Spurs face Manchester United. Perhaps Arnold should have used common sense and allowed his four Scottish based players three extra days with their club teams.
