Dedryck Boyata and Mikael Lustig are back in the Celtic side to face Aberdeen but there is no place in the matchday squad for Kieran Tierney.

There is also a starting place for former Don Ryan Christie leading the Celtic attack with Mikey Johnston dropping down to the bench with Odsonne Edouard and Mikey Johnston.

Celtic go into the match on the back of two 3-0 wins over Motherwell and Dundee while backed by a 100% record at Pittodrie under Brendan Rodgers.

Aberdeen have been second in the title race for each of the last four seasons with Derek McInnes’ side enjoying an impressive run of form since losing 1-0 to Celtic in the final of the Betfred Cup. Other than a 2-0 home defeat from St Johnstone they have had a 100% SPFL record this month including a 1-0 win over the tribute act at Ibrox.

Graeme Shinnie and Lewis Ferguson have been shouting the odds since beating Hearts 2-0 at the weekend but that isn’t likely to strike fear into Brendan Rodgers’ side.

CELTIC: Gordon; Lustig, Boyata, Benkovic, Izaguirre; Brown, McGregor; Forrest, Rogic, Sinclair; Christie

SUBS: Bain, Izaguirre, Hayes, Edouard, Ntcham, Ralston, Ajer
