The odds of Celtic winning the SPFL title have been tightened after Wednesday’s results.
Three weeks of hype, euphoria and premature celebrations following the Glasgow derby had resulted in the odds on an Ibrox title triumph coming down to 3/1.
Defeat to Kilmarnock has saw those odds lengthen to 5/1 while the chances of another Celtic title party has come into a best price of 1/6. Kilmarnock are generally priced at 33/1 while Aberdeen are 100/1 to improve on their standing order for finishing second in the title race.
With Celtic looking forward to home games, where they have a 100% record, against Hamilton and St Johnstone over the next five days the chances are that the odds on the hoops winning the title will continue to reduce.
Brendan Rodgers’ side are 1/10 to beat Hamilton tomorrow with most punters looking at the handicap market to get some value for their investment.
Having beaten Airdrie 3-0 and St Mirren 4-0 you can get 21/10 on Celtic at -3 meaning that a winning margin of four goals will return £21 for every £10 staked.
