Levein gets one match Madden ban

Craig Levein has been hot with a one match ban for claiming that Hearts were up against 12 men during their December defeat from the tribute act with Bobby Madden in charge.

The Hearts boss was especially upset by the treatment of Alfredo Morelos who carried out a number of attacks on Hearts players without even picking up a yellow card. To add insult to injury the Colombian scored the winning goal from a clearly offside position.

Levein was in blistering form after the match as he destroyed the match officials and claimed that he wouldn’t be disciplined as Neil Lennon had made similar comments after Hibs had lost to Celtic.

That claim was shown up to be inaccurate with news of today’s one match suspension which will see the Hearts boss watch the Scottish Cup tie with Livingston from the stand at Tynecastle

Hearts haven’t yet commented on the punishment for their manager.
