James Forrest has been linked with an end of season move to Liverpool.
According to a report in The Sun Jurgen Klopp has been receiving favourable reports on the Celtic winger who recently signed a new long term contract.
Forrest has been with Celtic for close on 20 years without any hint of looking elsewhere but if the interest from Liverpool became a bid it would be difficult for the 27-year-old to resist.
Five goals in two matches for Scotland in November put the winger in the spotlight as he hit a purple patch in terms of goals and performances.
Despite the snooty attitude of most folk in English football to the Scottish game Klopp is well aware of the calibre of player that it helps produce with Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson key to his side’s title bid.
Liverpool are well off in terms of attacking option but there are no genuine wingers in Klopp’s preferred 4-3-3 formation.
