Andrew Gutman got his first public outing as a Celtic player as a reserve XI lost 4-3 in a friendly against Arbroath.
The American played at left-back, getting a sharp introduction to Scottish football as Celtic trailed 4-1 at one stage after taking the lead through a penalty from Armstrong Oko-Flex. Celtic are awaiting a work permit to complete the signing of Gutman.

Arbroath are 22 points ahead of Airdrie United/Clydebank at the top of League One with Dick Campbell’s side looking a certainty to win promotion to The Championship.
Danny Denholm grabbed a hat-trick with former Celt Greig Spence also on the scoresheet before Celtic hit back with a second penalty from Oko-Flex and a goal from substitute Tom Caffrey.
Celtic are back in Reserve League business against Partick Thistle at Lesser Hampden on January 28, before that they take on Wolves u-23’s at Carlisle on Wednesday.
