Scott Bain starts his first SPFL Premiership match of the season when Celtic face St Mirren tonight.
Craig Gordon has been the first choice all season but after Bain’s incredible triple save against Airdrie United/Clydebank he has to settle for a place on the bench against the Paisley side.
Tonight’s match is the first of three home matches in eight days with every Celtic fan looking to claim nine points and send out a statement of intent over the title race.
Next Wednesday’s visit from St Johnstone is Celtic’s game in hand with the SPFL table having a more realistic look after that match.
Celtic have a 100% home record with nine wins out of nine keeping them at the top of the league despite their inconsistent away results.
