Brendan Rodgers is close to agreeing loan deals for Lewis Morgan and Jack Hendry.

Both players arrived at Celtic a year ago and gained full Scotland international caps but have been unable to force their way into the Celtic side.

Ryan Christie is the big example for both players to follow with the midfielder going out on loan three times before making his big breakthrough as a Celtic player.

Hull City have concrete interest in taking Morgan on loan with Rodgers keen for the duo to get proper game-time over the remainder of the season.

There’s been interest, I’ve spoken to a few managers on them and their agents are obviously working to see what is going to be the best option,” the Celtic boss stated at today’s pre-match media conference.

In the meantime both boys are very focussed, their working well here and they both understand that they are at that age where they need games. It’s important not just to get them a club, they need to get the right club that is going to allow them to increase their game time over these next couple of months.”

Marvin Compper’s agent has also been in talks with Celtic but only to agree a deal to terminate his contract which runs until June 2020.

Rodgers is still hoping to bring in new faces during the remainder of the transfer window but is looking for quality ready-made first team players rather than signings like Morgan and Hendry who are longer term prospects.
